Last night it was - Elliott "Hardface" Nelson (April 2010 Slam Winner) who took the June 2010 Memphizm Poetry Slam title, $150 CASH & SLAM TROPHY! He battled 7 other poets, & finally Ms.Dee-lite in the final round! Participating in this month's Slam was Ms. Dee-lite and T-Remedi of Inner City South, The Virghost Poet, Teresa - spoken word artist from Holly Springs, Mista, Poetic High, and FW Love.
We would like to thank everyone who came out to support the art! Guests enjoyed great food and drinks from Zodiac Restaurant & Lounge. A BIG thanks goes to Zodiac Restaurant & Lounge, and judges - including Aiesha Dickey of MODE Boutique & XTC Entertainment Models and also, Southeastern Regional Slam Sponsor & Organizer, Mr. Dewar.
